Dr. Delfin Santos, MD, FACR
Dr. Santos is the director of Rochester Rheumatology Center in Rochester Hills, MI. He is Board Certified in Rheumatology and has been providing his compassionate care and expertise in the field of rheumatology since 1992. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. His Motto is, “There is more to medicine than the right diagnosis and the right treatment.”
Dr. Santos obtained his medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). He completed training in Internal Medicine at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in 1990, where he was Chief Resident. He specialized in Rheumatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He is on the teaching staff at Wayne State University’s Residency Program in Detroit, MI. Dr. Santos is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the Michigan Rheumatism Society. He volunteers his time assisting the rare disease and autoimmune communities and advocating for patient rights. He is an advisor and on the Speaker’s Bureau for numerous pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Santos is frequently listed as a “Top Doc” in the field of rheumatology by Hour Magazine Detroit. His wife Mirta, also a physician, is the Executive Director of the American Behcet’s Disease Association. They have three grown children. Dr. Santos loves to travel, fish, play golf, read, and spend time with his family.
