Southwest Florida Rheumatology

We care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, and lupus-related diseases, as well as allied diseases such osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and gout. We provide diagnostic evaluation and education to patients with fibromyalgia and counsel on therapeutic lifestyle changes. We also provide in-office infusion and treatment for patients with medications to treat both rheumatic and allied diseases. We utilize ultrasound evaluation at the bedside to aid diagnosis. This is a non-invasive, painless, and simple approach that aids in diagnosis at the point of care. There are state of the art labs used to help diagnosis and more recently, provide additional information on prognosis. We stay current on these approaches and utilize these biomarkers, where appropriate, to reach our treatment goals. We also recommend various options that promote a non-invasive approach to treating regional pain. Finally, because chronic diseases affect lifestyle, we encourage a ‘whole life’ approach to improve the outcomes of our patients by promoting wellness practices.
