Dr. Jigar Shah, MD

Dr. Shah was born and raised in South Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Miami, subsequently attended St. George’s University Medical School, and completed both his Residency training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate University Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has accomplished a number of achievements in a short amount of time, such as being the Medical Honoree for the Walk to Cure for Arthritis. He is also a member of the American College of Rheumatology as well as the Florida Society of Rheumatology.

Dr. Shah is double board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. During his Rheumatology Fellowship, he was involved in multiple clinical trials and trained at one of the most prestigious SLE centers in the country and has therefore learned to master some of the most complex autoimmune diseases in the field of Rheumatology.

Dr. Shah has expansive research experience that gives him the knowledge to offer a myriad of treatment options as he endeavors to improve patients’ quality of life. He remains on the forefront of Rheumatology and has a special interest in helping patients suffering with inflammatory arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Exhilarated by the knowledge, prevention, and treatment of various diseases, Dr. Shah realized that he was destined to pursue the field of Internal Medicine and more specifically Rheumatology as he thoroughly enjoyed being exposed to the variety and intricacy of diseases, procedures, and various medications that can help relieve suffering for the many affected by the Rheumatologic conditions that can become very debilitating. With his compassion, hard work, dependability, ability to maintain strong social connections, and profound interests in science, evidence, and constant re-evaluation, he envisioned and opened a practice that encompasses his personal traits and proves outcomes to help patients throughout South Florida.

During his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughters, traveling, exploring new cuisines, and watching football.
