Dr. Meera Oza, M.D., F.A.C.R.

Dr. Meera Oza has been practicing Rheumatology since 1985 in Orange Park and serving greater Jacksonville area for more than 30 years. She completed her medical school in Lady Harding Medical College in India, and finished her internal medicine and Rheumatology training at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. She is a fellow of American College of Rheumatology and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

She is a past-president of the Florida Society of Rheumatology and has served as a board member since 2001. She has served on the Affiliated State Council and Insurance subcommittee of the American College of Rheumatology, and is presently serving in Medicare Carrier Advisory committee for First Coast Service Options. She is also a member of several professional societies. Dr. Oza has participated in several clinical trials of new therapies for rheumatological diseases for the last 25 years in order to gain first-hand experience of the efficacy of the new drugs before the FDA approves them for treatment.

Dr. Oza enjoys taking care of complex patients with rheumatic disease. “I feel my patients pain and I like to get rid of their pain, I believe nobody should suffer with any pain. Kindness and compassion towards our patients is the most important part of our practice.”

We offer on-site laboratory services, bone density testing, x-ray, and extremity MRI.

Maryann Leslie, ARNP, PhD
Maryann Leslie, a certified adult nurse practitioner, has practiced in Rheumatology and primary care subspecialties since 1997. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University (PhD, MEd), and Case Western Reserve University (MSN), she has held faculty and administrative positions in academia, published several journal articles and modules related rheumatology nursing and health promotion, and lectured on various topics for professional groups.

Pinki Patel, PA-C
Pinki Patel, PA is a nationally certified Physician Assistant, licensed to practice in state of Florida. Pinki graduated with a Physician Assistant degree from Touro College of Bayshore, New York in 2003, and started her career as a PA in the fast-paced environment of Emergency Department of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Patchogue, NY. She moved to the Jacksonville area in 2005 and joined AOTC (Arthritis and Osteoporosis Treatment Center).
