Dr. Frank Nolan, MD
Dr. Frank Nolan founded Arthritis Consultants of North County in 1978 and has been providing individualized, quality rheumatology care since that time. He received his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at UCLA Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Nolan is one of the top-rated rheumatologists in Vista, CA with expertise in treating rheumatic conditions, including Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Tendinitis, Gout, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). He has received numerous awards for his exceptional patient care, including Compassionate Doctor Recognition, Patients’ Choice Award, Patients’ Choice 5th Anniversary Award, On-Time Doctor Award, and Top 10 Doctor – Metro Area.
Dr. Brion completed his undergraduate education at Rutgers University and medical school at Rutgers Medical School (formerly New Jersey Medical School). He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA). He was on staff at UCLA as an assistant professor of medicine and head of UCLA Santa Monica Rheumatology before moving to San Diego to be closer to family.
Dr. Brion was awarded Top Doctor in San Diego 10 times. He has multiple published paper and co-authored several chapters in medical text books. He volunteers at the Vista Community Clinic and enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Our services include comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis, in-office lab testing, infusion therapy (Remicade, Orencia, Actemra, Benlysta), osteoporosis treatment including Reclast and Prolia, and knee arthritis therapy with Synvisc, Hyalgan, Orthovisc & Cortisone. We also evaluate unexplained symptoms or lab tests such as elevated sedimentation rates, positive rheumatoid factor, or ANA. We offer a second opinion on a diagnosis or treatment.
