Dr. Dana Reddy, MD
Dr. Dana Reddy is a Board Certified rheumatologist and San Diego native. She speaks English and Spanish and values her Spanish-speaking patients. She received her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her internship at Scripps Clinic and Research Institute and her Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at Scripps Green Hospital. Outside of work, Dr. Reddy enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and running.
Dr. Reddy has been in practice since 2014. She chose to pursue medicine to combine her interests in science and interacting with people. She chose to specialize in rheumatology because she experienced many interesting patient cases with rheumatic conditions in medical school. There have been great advancements in the treatment of rheumatic diseases over the past few decades, and Dr. Reddy enjoys giving this hope about treatment to her patients. When a patient receives a diagnosis of a rheumatic condition, Dr. Reddy puts herself in their shoes to try to understand what it may feel like to be faced with such a diagnosis. She then gives the patient the tools and information needed so that he or she will feel less discouraged by their diagnosis and more empowered in their treatment.
