Dr. David Makover, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R.
Dr. Makover is board certified in rheumatology and has been in practice in Boca Raton since 1989. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritic and rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoporosis.
He was born in New York City and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Doctor of Medicine from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His internship and residency were at Temple University Hospital, and his rheumatology fellowship was at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Makover was board certified in internal medicine in 1985 and rheumatology in 1988. He has been in private practice since 1989. He was a former clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine and is now on the faculty of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. He has won numerous awards and has published articles in leading medical journals.
He resides in Boca Raton with his wife and four children.
