Dr. Sucharitha Shanmugam, MD
Dr. Shanmugam is a board certified rheumatologist who has been practicing in the Philadelphia suburbs for the past 11 years.
Dr. Shanmugam completed her internal medicine training from Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health and went on to be Assistant Professor of Medicine at Abington Hospital prior to competing her rheumatology fellowship training at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the Pennsylvania Rheumatology Society.
Dr. Shanmugam’s primary goal is to provide a space where all patients feel welcome, safe, and cared for. Her office creates an atmosphere that is compassionate and efficiently provides care to each and every patient.
When she is not working , Dr. Shanmugam enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, hiking, and traveling. She and her daughter are true lovers of everything chocolate!
