Dr. Yong Tsai, M.D.
Dr. Yong Tsai, a native of Taiwan, received his medical degree from China Medical College in 1981. He completed his Master’s Degree of Health Science in Immunology and his clinical fellowships in Allergy and Immunology at Johns Hopkins University. Always on a quest for more knowledge, he then completed a residency at Wayne State University and yet another fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Rheumatology and Geriatric Medicine. During his last year at the University of Michigan, he also lectured in Internal Medicine.
For over 25 years, his goal has been to provide the best possible care to his patients in Volusia and Flagler Counties through his medical practice, infusion center, and clinical research center. Dr. Tsai is board certified in Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology, Internal Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. He has dedicated his career in Florida to healing and educating the community in the areas of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. He has also been a medical columnist for the Daytona Beach News Journal since 2001. He authored a book, Arthritis, Autoimmune Disorders, & Chronic Pain in 2005.
Dr. Tsai has been the Medical Director and Principal Investigator for International Medical Research since it was founded in 2002. Throughout the past 17 years, he has conducted phase 2, 3, and 4 trials in numerous fields such as cardiology, immunology, allergy, neurology, pain management, and rheumatology. He looks forward to working with the Enroll program and the Bendcare research committee.
In his free time, Dr. Tsai can be found with a book in his hands or lacing up his sneakers for a long run. His personal goal is to complete a marathon on each continent. Thus far, he and his wife of 36 years have completed races in Antarctica, Africa, Asia, South America, North America, and Europe.
