Dr. Jeffrey Jundt, MD
Dr. Jundt has been the founder and medical director of Arthritis Consultants PA in Killeen, TX since 2002. He is Internal Medicine and Rheumatology ABIM and NBPS Board Certified. He has served many roles in his extensive medical career. These include Assistant Professor of Medicine at Texas A&M in College Station; Chief of Rheumatology at Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, TX; and Regional Medical Research Specialist with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Jundt has authored numerous articles and lectured extensively on topics of Rheumatology during his career. Independent and ongoing pharmaceutical research funded projects are also part of Dr. Jundt’s continual commitment to excellence and optimization of rheumatologic care for his patients.

Arthritis Consultants, PA is a full service Rheumatology practice specializing in diseases involving the musculoskeletal and immune systems. There are of 100 types of rheumatologic disorders. These include osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, gout osteoporosis, lupus, vasculitis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
We have an experienced staff of physicians, mid level providers, and medical assistants. These professionals provide optimal, compassionate, and expert care to all of those whose lives have been affected by these disorders.
Rheumatology Consultation, second opinions, and ongoing care for chronic conditions are offered. Additional services include infusion therapy, integrative interventions, viscosupplementation, trigger point injections, Ultrasound guided nerve, tendon and joint injections, and small fiber nerve and skin biopsies.
Urgent consults and urgent established patients are often seen within 24 hrs.

Elenita Benitez, AGNP-C
Mrs. Benitez is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. She was a Registered Nurse for 19 years prior to earning her Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2016. She is board certified as an Adult- Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Her experience as an RN includes medical/surgical, hospice, occupational health, and pain management. She joined Arthritis Consultants in 2017 and is currently a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society. Mrs. Benitez is a native Houstonian and enjoys day-tripping across Texas with her husband and daughter.
Katherine Easterwood, BSN, MSN, CNS, CRCC
Kathy graduated with a B.S.N. from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, TX in 1979. She received her M.S.N. degree from Texas A &M University at Corpus Christi in 1993. Kathy is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing. She also received her Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (C.R.C.C.) through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Her past work experiences include: clinical research, hyperbaric medicine, home health, ENT, and ICU. Kathy has also served as an instructor in the associate’s degree nursing program at Temple College. She has been with Arthritis Consultants since 2005. She has extensive experience in clinical rheumatology and associated procedures. Kathy loves spending her free time with family, especially her kids, grandkids, and two very spoiled pups.
Laura Murphy, PA-C
Laura is a graduate of Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. She earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is affiliated with the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals. In her free time, Mrs. Murphy enjoys adventuring outside with her husband, traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and being mom to their fur baby, PB the cat.
