Dr. Charles Withers II, MD
Dr. Withers received his medical degree from Duke University in 2008. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Internal Medicine Residency at Duke University in 2009 and 2011 respectively. He then completed his Rheumatology fellowship at Duke University in 2013.
Dr. Withers is a native of Washington, DC and has lived in North Carolina for over 10 years. He enjoys running and playing soccer in his spare time and is an active member of his church. One of his greatest joys is spending time with his wife and 3 young children.

She is an active member of Forrest Hills church in Charlotte, North Carolina and volunteers with them on a regular basis. She spends her free time among the company of her family, friends, and her rescue dog Rosey.
Ms. Wood studied nursing at Carolinas College of Health Sciences in Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree at Winston Salem State in Winston- Salem, North Carolina. Michelle went on to Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where she obtained her master’s degree as an Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, along with a dual certification in Integrative Medicine.
Ms. Wood has been in the healthcare industry for 17 years. Her specialties include; Neurosurgical, Surgical Trauma, and Cardiothoracic ICU. She left the intensive care world to pursue opportunities in Integrative Medicine and Rheumatology. She believes in holistic patient centered care. In order to achieve optimum wellness, you must treat the mind, body, and spirit. Ms. Wood believes in treating the underlying cause and treating the patient as a whole.
Michelle truly believes, as Benjamin Franklin stated, that an “ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
