Lawrence J. Leventhal, MD, FACP, FACR
Lawrence Leventhal, MD, is Chief of Rheumatology at the Holy Redeemer Medical Center in Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania, and Medical Director of Comprehensive Arthritis Care Consultants, LLC in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Leventhal is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Rheumatology, and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He has conducted extensive research on rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and osteoarthritis. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, as well as the Quality of Life Professional Education Award from the Arthritis Foundation.
Dr. Leventhal’s articles have been published in numerous journals including Annals in Internal Medicine, Journal of Rheumatology, Arthritis and Rheumatism, American Journal of Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine, and Neurology. He has served as President of the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, and as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology. Dr. Leventhal has been included in Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors, US News and World Reports Top Doctors, and Best Doctors in America.
When not at the office, Dr. Leventhal enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and enjoys lecturing nationally on a wide variety of arthritis topics.
