Dr. Brandon Miller, MD

Dr. Brandon Miller is a rheumatologist at the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease Clinic in Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as his Doctor of Medicine from the same university. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at West Virginia University, where he was recognized as Resident of the Month. He then completed fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Virginia before joining AMDC Physicians. While a fellow at UVA, he participated in research focused on autoimmune adverse events resulting from the use of checkpoint inhibitor therapy for cancer.

Dr. Miller has an interest in inflammatory arthritis, which includes rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, gout, and other crystal induced arthritides. In his free time, he enjoys working out, sports, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.

Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive musculoskeletal care experience every time you enter our doors. We aim to empower you with an understanding of your condition and wellness plan. Our preventive and chronic care services include bone densitometry, in-house phlebotomy, and physical therapy supervised by our doctor of physical therapy. Our clinic also provides on-site infusion of biologics and osteoporosis medications, as well as comprehensive x-rays and diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasounds. We are AIUM certified. We will work to find the treatment that is best for you.

Physician Assistant

Katherine Ruiz, PA-C received her Master of Medical Science and Physician Assistant degrees from Arcadia University in May 2016. In August 2016 she moved with her husband to Richmond, VA and later that month started her Physician Assistant career at AMDC Physicians in Colonial Heights, VA, specializing in Rheumatology. She has worked to become active in the Virginia rheumatology community, taking part in the Virginia Society of Rheumatology annual meeting in 2017 and 2018, and is now a member of the Association of Women in Rheumatology.
