RITA E. CUEVAS, M.D.
Dr. Rita E. Cuevas has been a rheumatologist for almost 30 years. Her practice is located downtown San Antonio. She and her staff are bilingual in both English and Spanish.
She received her medical degree from University of Puerto Rico in 1985. She completed her internal medicine training at Tulane University and her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She then became a staff member of the Rheumatology Clinic at Lackland Air Force Base Hospital. She opened her private practice in San Antonio in 1994 and has continued to work there since.
Dr. Cuevas prides herself on delivering up to date treatment for well known conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis, gout, osteoporosis, myofacial pain syndromes, Sjögren’s syndrome, scleroderma, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, and other inflammatory connective tissue disorders.
Dr. Cuevas and her staff are committed to providing comprehensive and high quality rheumatology care for adults. They work with each of their patients to accurately diagnose and effectively treat rheumatic diseases in a professional and caring environment.
