Medication refills are usually needed at the most inconvenient times. To minimize that, we will try to give you refills, if safe and practical, that are adequate until your next return visit.

When you fill a new prescription, please check that your pharmacy gave you the right quantity and number of refills. We send your medications electronically to prevent that kind of error.

Medication refills should be requested with the messaging service within the Patient Portal as staff monitor for those messages every hour, while phone messages usually wait until the end of the day.

Medication refills are not available on weekends, so please plan accordingly. Set aside a few days of each medication so you have a reserve after you call for a refill.

A request for a refill usually means that an appointment was missed, so we have to review your chart. Please keep your appointments.
